River water traveling somewhere between the speed of rapids and a gentle flow has a feeling and sound not unlike whitewater rolling in at the beach. While not a perfect substitute for the sound of breaking waves, it sure holds its own.

Yes and great photo. It is painful to juxtapoz that image you took with the mighty clear cuts around the corner.
