I especially like this article because I've read of a Thai Buddhist monk using surfing as an example to illustrate samsara/the cycle of suffering. His point was directed at the fleeting rush surfers get when they catch a typically short ride, and that we are never satisfied (i.e., forever looking for the "perfect wave"). This to him was ridiculousness. He had a valid point but I think the experience of riding waves is very different depending on the mindfulness one brings to it, just like this Tibetan monk is saying.
